The Family Day Fundraiser at the A.M.Qattan Foundation was a success!

Thanks to all the ones that came, donated, or simply sent their wishes and expressed their friendship for Bait al Karama.

The food was great, both the Palestinian and Italian dishes were delicious…difficult to make a choice!

A warm big special THANK to all the people who cooked and helped during the day; to Zina, Amani, Suad and Lubna for organising with us the event and making it beautiful as it was; to Gaia, who taught the kids how to make proper hand made Italian tagliatelle; to Francesco for the Italian mini-Market; to Paola for the unique Tiramisú; to Heather and Manal for presenting the Palestinian products they import and distribute through their company Zaytoun (www.zaytoun.org); to Alessandro d´Onofrio for the beautiful pictures; to Tekie for all the help and the coffees…; to Rachael and the whole staff of the A.M.Qattan Foundation; and finally to Ghalia and Omar, for their unquestioned trust and enthusiastic assistance: the passion and commitment you showed towards your work will encourage us further in this incredible adventure!

With the money we raised we will start equipping the kitchen of the women’s centre, which will become the focal point of the Bait al Karama International Cookery School.
